Quitness is a service that helps people cancel pesky Planet Fitness Memberships. Quitness generates a personalized legal letter based on the information you provide in our form. We then send your letter to your home Planet Fitness location via USPS First Class Certified Mail, demanding membership cancellation at the next available cancellation date.

Quitness will email you once your letter has been sent, usually 3-5 business days after you submit your order. This email will include an attached copy of your letter being sent on your behalf to your home Planet Fitness location.

There's two ways to cancel your Planet Fitness membership. Option 1 is to visit your home club and cancel in person. This can be challenging if you don't live near your home club or if you don't want the staff to ask you why you aren't able to meet your fitness goals. Option 2, as stated in Planet Fitness' Membership Agreement, Planet Fitness strongly recommends a USPS Certified Letter as standard mail doesn't guarantee cancellation, while certified mail does. Certified mail can be used for proof of delivery in the event of future charges. Once your membership is cancelled, Planet Fitness should send you an email confirming your membership has been cancelled. If you don't receive an email, please check the tracking information provided to you by Quitness. This will verify if the letter has been delivered and signed upon receipt. If your letter has been delivered but you have not received a confirmation email from Planet Fitness, we recommend calling your home Planet Fitness location, informing them that your letter has been delivered. They should then process your cancellation. Please be sure to have the information provided in the letter ready incase they ask for more information from you.

Planet Fitness is required to cancel your membership if a cancellation notice letter has been sent via Certified Mail. However, it can happen that the person whom receives or signs for the letter fails to process the cancellation. If this happens, we recommend calling your home Planet Fitness location, informing them that your letter has been delivered. They should then process your cancellation. Please be sure to have the information provided in the letter ready incase they ask for more information from you, such as your Membership ID, Email, Phone Number, and Name.

Yes. People have different Planet Fitness memberships, such as a monthly or yearly membership. If you have a yearly membership with Planet Fitness, you can still cancel your membership using Quitness. However, your cancellation won't be processed until the time of your yearly renewal date. After this date, your membership should be cancelled and not renewed for another year.

As of now, Quitness only cancels Planet Fitness memberships. However, we plan to expand to other gym chains in the future. If you have a membership that you need help cancelling that isn't Planet Fitness, please contact us directly at info@quitness.com and we'll see what we can do to help. We love hearing new ideas!

Yes, Quitness provides refunds based on each individual case. If your letter has been delivered and signed for at your home Planet Fitness location, we unfortunately won't be able to provide a refund. If there was an issue delivering your letter or it was sent to a different address than specified in your order, we will review your request and issue a refund accordingly. In some cases, we will issue a refund for the service fee, but not for the Certified Mail label that was purchased for you on your behalf.

Please contact us directly if you have a refund request and we will do our best to accommodate you.

You can find your Planet Fitness membership ID number in the Planet Fitness app or website under the "My Account" section or on your membership card. It’s also included in the welcome email sent by Planet Fitness at the time of signup. Check your email inbox or search for "Planet Fitness" to locate it.
